Contraindications to Massage Therapy

Contraindications Therapy

Massage can be very therapeutic for many medical conditions. However, some cases it is best to have advice from your physician. Massage therapists, unless they are also qualified doctors, may not, under law, attempt to diagnose a condition.

When in doubt, DON’T. If you suffer from a particular illness and are unsure if it safe for you to receive massage therapy, please check with your doctor before scheduling an appointment.

There may be other conditions not mentioned in this list which are contraindicattions for massage therapy.
